About Us
About us-
Morways Reclamation and Salvage has been specialising in salvaging and restoring historical building materials from Norfolk and Suffolk to their former glory from since 1981.
Founded as a father and son business, Morways moved into salvage and reclamation in order to supply their residential development business with genuine period materials, which at the time were very scarce and not valued.
Morways has specialised with both the reclamation and salvage of historical building materials around Norfolk and beyond, including yard clearances and specialist internal salvage of historical sites.
We pride ourselves in being one of the largest reclamation yards of genuine historical building materials in East Anglia. With over 30 years of experience we have an an extensive knowledge of period materials and how to restore them to their former glory and can advise and facilitate any scale of project you might have. Our reclaim yard has been a busy trading centre for both private and trade customers and with our overheads low, we are able to offer top quality goods at very competitive prices, along with friendly expert advice.
In recent years we have been involved in a number of exiting projects. Probably most notable and closest to home is SETTLE Norfolk. Situated on 30 acres of beautiful park land, this Airbnb retreat is founded on a medieval settlement, built almost entirely by Morways owner and founder John Morfoot. featuring three exquisitely restored rail carriages and one hand-crafted cabin, all using some of the beautiful materials from the Morways reclamation yard.
Most recently both the Reclamation yard and SETTLE have been featured in ‘World of Interiors Magazine’, and Channel 4’s ‘George Clarkes Amazing spaces’. showcasing our wonderful collection of materials and our love of craftsmanship.
